Parent Access To Our Online Platforms
We use three core technology platforms at our school: Canvas, Sentral and School Bytes. As a parent or carer, you can access each of these securely so that you can support your child’s learning, keep up to date on school activities, communicate with our staff and pay any fees or costs.
Canvas Parent: our online learning platform is accessible to parents and students 24/7. It is personalised for each student, and includes information on lessons, resources, homework and assignment information.
This is a good way for parents and carers to follow your student’s lessons, communicate with teachers, and see assignment feedback and marks.
Sentral Parent Portal: this administrative portal provides access to your child’s timetable, attendance record and also has daily notices on school activities.
This is where you can notify the school if your child is not attending school for the day.
This is also where you will find your child’s academic reports, the school calendar, as well as personalised learning plans and adjustments, and positive behaviour records (Gotchas). Our parent/teacher interviews are booked through Sentral.
School Bytes: is a secure platform for any payments to the school, for school fees, excursions, incursions etc.

Students can use their own device at Wallsend
BYOD: We encourage our students to bring their own device to school. The students will then be able to access these learning platforms (Canvas and Sentral) via the Department of Education's wireless network.
